Internet newbies probably won't know how to do it, but most older users know that there's at least two (or one, depending on the keyboard) other simple ways to take graphics and/or content - without ever having to use the right button on their mouse. IMHO, the no right click script is nothing but a hinderance to users who surf the 'net via their "open in new window" option. And when it comes to a high-linkage site like your own (especially with outside links in the middle of interviews, articles and things like that - I really don't like having to either skip the link for later {and ultimately forget about it}, or having to open a new window and manually type in the URL {I'm amazingly slow at that}), that really doesn't agree with people like me.
Ah, well, just my two cents. I'm not trying to tell you how to maintain your site; I'm just trying to give an honest opinion of what works for me and what doesn't. Anyway, thanks for an awesome SG-1 site. :-)
Oh, I almost forgot... Welcome back, Michael/Daniel! Missed ya! :D

Epps. I feel like being thrown out of the loop since Stargate only debuted last month and here I am reading several interviews (from different sites) about Jackson's demise! I nearly had a heart attack. Obviously, Dr. Jackson's my fave character on the show and it was relief (to read) that he'll be coming back for the 7th season. The first season ended last Friday and I'm looking forward for the next season to start which I hope tonight (Monday). The show's aired every weeknight which is a plus.:) Anyway, I like your site and can't wait to visit it again and check the other pages.

Jonas cannot live up to the high expectations of the fans, if we HAD to lose Daniel could we of at least got someone who would fit into the team better?
Daniel is an element that cannot EVER be replaced. we need Michael back in his long adored role as a living breathing Daniel, not a glowing mass of energy, any further story just seems pointless without him.
I am not trying to tell MGM how to do their job but the strain of Daniel's loss must tell on some of their staff who have to cope with the general abuse from discontented fans. the only way for this toi stop is to give in and return our much loved Dr. Jackson to us, nothing else will content us! Daniel was a corner stone in the series, the corner stone at the bottom of the house, remove the stone and the house falls down. the series is failing and there is only one way to save it.
i've seen the same thing happen to another series (this time Warner Brothers "Babylon 5") once the 2 most popular characters were gone only the most loyal fans remained, MGM will suffer this fate, to just run out of fuel and lose all meaning for its fans.
Bring him back, if not for the fans, for the telephone staff who have to suffer the general abuse dealt to them!!!

That the word on the street is that Daniel Jackson 'DESCENDS' And rejoins the cast for season 7.
Also supporting this theory is Sci-Fi Channels's comment pertaining to the new season during the timeslot usually used for coming attractions after 'FullCircle' this past friday:
"StarGate-SG1 welcomes Michael Shanks back to the cast as Daniel Jackson."
Not specificly saying that he is back or will 'DESCEND' makes all of this speculative.... But if you put 2 and 2 together...
I think he's Coming back.

I have been watching all the seasons "from the beginning" on the scifi channel on Mondays. I was never able to see them when they were on Showtime. Sometimes they could also be seen on our local ch. 5. But I never new what episode I was watching and they would mix them up over time.
I love this website. It is more complete than any other that I have looked at. Had I known about it sooner, I would have rallied to bring Michael Shanks back. I'm so glad that there were plenty of fans that did. I look forward to season 7 of Stargate. Lets hope it will be well worth the wait.
A big THANKS

I remember seeing the movie shortly after its release and loving it (History, and especially Eygpt, is one of my interests) so I was very happy when it was decided that a series would be made. On watching it I found a show that somehow created an atmosphere that was different to most SciFi shows (the only one that it seemed to come close to was the original Star Trek series). I loved it and have watched every single episode since the beginning. Unfortunately TPTB obviously didn't see what viewers around the world were seeing and decided to try and change things (as usual).
First of all they seemed to sideline both Daniel and Teal'c, deciding that militaristic dilemmas, rather than exploration, was the way forward. WRONG. They may have their place in other shows, but not this one.
The 'change' started to take place during Season 4 and gradually got worse through Season 5. It is little wonder that ratings dropped.
However, they reached the depths of despair at the end of Season 5 when Daniel died.
This is only my opinion, but I cannot imagine what possessed TPTB that it was perfectly logical and reasonable to ditch one of the main characters, both of the series and the movie! I think they sometimes forget what they produce shows for - they are actually for people to watch and enjoy. Is that not why shows are written. You get people so interested in a show that they will turn on every week and then wait for months, in great anticipation, for the next Series. Obviously not, because having done this they decided to take away one of the main reasons why the vast majority of people were watching!
I, like many fans, was absolutely devastated when Daniel died. I had no knowledge that this was going to happen (not having found this site yet) and so it was even more of a shock.
I watched the first two episodes of Season 6 thinking that I was over-reacting to the demise of a character from a series rather than a 'real' person, but it was no good, I could not watch it without Daniel.
I did not watch one episode of Season 6 after that (I apologise to the rest of the team who do not deserve such treatment) but the atmosphere was not the same.
However, it was with a massive amount of joy that I learned that Daniel was returning for Season 7. To say I am happy is an enourmous understatement. Maybe, just maybe, they will get back the wonderful atmosphere of Seasons 1-3.
I would like to join many other fans in thanking anyone and everyone, especially Michael Shanks, in returning Dr. Jackson to the show.
I will once again watch Stargate on its return to the UK in September and look forward with great anticipation to any film that may be produced, hopefully with the complete cast.
With Hope & Gratitude

After reading that was happening I was pretty upset, especially when I realised that, by that time, Season 6 had finished filming without Daniel Jackson - couldn't even begin to visualise Stargate SG-1 without Daniel - the heart and soul of the show. I watched "Meridian" (only once even though I have it on tape as it was so terribly sad) and wondered at that time if I could ever watch Stargate again, though I now have gone past that initial shock.
Every chance I got I went to the web site to see what was happening - then the wonderful news - Daniel (Michael) was coming back! I *am* watching Season 6 (have seen the first 12 episodes) as I am a Stargate fan too but it is not the same without Daniel. I sort of like Jonas, what you see of him, but am counting down the episodes until Season 7. I am so happy that Daniel (Michael) is coming back and hope the writers will now return to the winning formula that was so successful and entertaining in Seasons 1 to 3.

I would like to thank the producers and studio for swallowing their pride and offering Michael his job back. They have shown a lot of courage.
I would like to thank Michael for graciously accepting the chance to come back.
I would like to thank the people who gave so much of their time and energy to the website devoted to getting Daniel Jackson back.
But most of all I would like to thank the hundreds of fans who contributed to supporting the campaign. It was you who proved the numbers were really there. Ratings may not always show the real picture.
I look forward to more inspiring and challenging words from Daniel. Don't forget a little romance would never go astray. A great love for someone gives a better incentive to put up a big fight for that person's survival than any other reason. Good examples being Star Wars Episode 2 and the recent Pearl Harbour. So lets look forward to great shows for all ages in the future. Good Luck to the writers.
We love you Daniel.

Heartfelt thanks to Michael Shanks, Richard Dean Anderson, MGM, Sci-Fi Channel, BridgeGate Studios, the Creative Team and all who made this possible.
Heartfelt thanks also to the SDJ Steering Group who did so much on our behalf with passion and eloquence, while facing much personal abuse for their efforts - I am proud to be associated with 'those sdjers'. To all who took part in the discussion board, I believe we did form a community and I look forward to *seeing* you all over on Our Stargate, although I will miss our board.
The new site looks wonderful guys and I appreciate all your hard work, especially since so much was going on around this time.

this is the best news i have had in ages...i have found that since Micheal Shanks (Daniel Jackson) has left it has not been the same since
i am so looking forward to seeing season 7 with him in it. i have enjoyed watching season 6 but it is not the same without him
i also hope that as well as a season 7 there will be a second film with all 4 of them in it that would be so cool as well
thank you so much!!

I am so pleased because it means I can start caring again and feeling like I must make sure to watch Stargate. The episodes I've seen of series 6 are pants on the whole (except for Abyss which made me realise how much we had lost). At the moment I no longer get excited about what will happen in this week's SG-1 episode, I miss the tingle of excitement and the satisfaction produced by watching a great episode. The feeling of "That was brilliant, I want to watch it again!".
I really really hope that the writers of Stargate respond to fan feedback and give us scripts that bring us back to the humour, ethos and camaraderie of the first 3-4 series of Stargate.
I want Jack to be nice again and not so bloody grumpy and cold. I want him to be great friends again with Daniel and the rest of SG-1. Please do more with the character of Daniel - other than having him stand around on the sidelines in the SGC. Give Teal'c some opportunities to act because Chris Judge is a great actor. And can we have nice, human Sam back - not superwoman any more. I want her to go back to being the only well-written, well-rounded female SF character that I have ever come across, someone we women can relate to.
Finally I just want to say thanks to the people who make and fund Stargate - thanks for listening to fans and for bringing back Daniel Jackson, thanks for making us a seventh series and thanks for all the good work you have done in the past - Stargate at its best is wonderful.
I can't wait till next year to see the new series - I think I have a bit of the old feelings of anticipation back.....

Much hope and anticipation is being pinned on Season 7 but I feel that if all eyes and ears are now kept open to what's made Stargate different from the many other sci-fi series that have fallen along the wayside, no one will be disappointed. A few hours of blazing guns and inner governmental conspiracies we can live with but most of us want to see more of the four people who six years ago swept us up and carried us through the Stargate with them. We're tired of sitting in our living rooms - we want to fight our way past the Goa'uld and go revisit the Nox! Remember us non-military up close and personal family-oriented enthusiastic explorer fans and we'll sit spellbound in front of our televisions for as long as you like.
We're counting on TPTB to do their best to deliver in Season 7, and if they do, they can surely count on us. Heck - bring on Season 8 and we'll be there too!

JUST one thing is sadly missing though and that is our own discussion board. We have lost the voice of sdj.
I know why , but we arent the same voice as 'ourstargate ' and I for one would like some way of getting that voice back. We became a community in our own right and by losing the discussion board and being expected to just join another one, we've lost that voice. Ourstargate is fine but its much more complex and timeconsuming to keep up with - ours was just great as it was. SO here's an appeal to the steering committee to find a way even if its just an extra link on the guestbooks to give some way of sdj regulars posting. I am SO looking forward to season 7 now and am just hoping against hope that along with the return of Daniel, we also get a return back to the original premise of the show. For me that is exploration, ancient cultures , ancient languages... in other words, something for an ARCHEOLOGIST to do.
Good luck to all at Bridge Studios who are planning season 7 now. Good lucjk to the writing team who might just be facing their biggest challenge yet. Just dont forget please the stories that fans watch again and again and again, and the ones people positively hate. We dont expect to love all of it, but if you keep it believable ,and dont have any of your main characters propping up the wall, you probably cant go far wrong. carole
