We're
thrilled to share wonderful news with you! SCI FI Channel have officially
announced not just the renewal of Stargate SG-1 for a seventh season, but
also the reunion of Daniel Jackson with Jack, Teal'c and Carter as actor
Michael Shanks returns to the show full-time in 2003. An inside source
tells us that Daniel will "be descended and flesh and blood," rejoining
the SG-1 team at the beginning of Season Seven.
We're
absolutely delighted to once again have the opportunity to see these four
characters together again as loyal and loving friends in our much-missed
family of SG-1.
The 'Save
Daniel Jackson' campaign offers fans a forum in which to voice their concerns
and hopes to MGM, SCI FI Channel and Bridge Studios. We simply made
it easy for those many, many thousands of fans who've made |
calls
and written letters with such eloquence, energy and determination, to tell
MGM and SCI FI how much Daniel was loved and missed, how much he contributed
to the show and how very much we wanted him back.
We want to
offer our heartfelt thanks and deep appreciation to the countless fans
whose passion, loyalty, hard work and commitment to Daniel, SG-1 and the
show this past year has helped convince SCI FI and MGM to return him to
us.
We extend
our sincere and respectful gratitude to Michael Shanks for choosing to
return to his role as Dr. Daniel Jackson as a regular in the Stargate SG-1
cast, after a year of independent successes. |
Our
appreciation also to Richard Dean Anderson, generously returning from 'semi
retirement' to reunite the team.
Bonnie
Hammer and the SCI FI Channel have openly acknowledged Michael Shanks'
contribution to the success of Stargate as our "beloved Dr. Daniel Jackson".
We thank them for listening and hearing all the fans who cared enough to
make their voices heard.
Our thanks
are also extended to Hank Cohen and MGM for their part in the negotiations
which enabled Michael Shanks to return to Stargate.
Warmest
congratulations to all the talented cast and crew of Stargate SG-1 at Bridge
Studios for your continuing success. We're so happy we can join with
you all in celebrating the renewal of the show for a seventh season which
will reunite Daniel with our family of SG-1. |
